Can I request a roommate?

All our sleeping areas accommodate at least twelve people, so it should be possible for you and your friend to be housed in the same area.

Do boys and girls stay in separate living quarters?

Boys and girls are housed separately while at camp.

Are places at camp air conditioned?

Yes! Everyplace, except the outdoors.

What do I need to bring to camp?

Instrument, towels, change of clothes, cosmetics, sun tan lotion, medicines (if needed), sheets (single), pillow, blanket and swim suit.

Do the campers need any money while at camp?

No, however we do have snacks available for purchase throughout the day (everything is $1.00).

Are cell phones and personal electronics allowed at camp?

Cell phones and other electronic devices are allowed but are the responsibility of those who brought them.

What kind of food will be served while at camp?

Typical camp food..salad bar, fruits, American, Italian themed foods.

How does Music On The River handle people with food allergies?

We do our best to try and accommodate people with food allergies.  We do have limited refrigerated space to store any food campers bring and we make every effort to have the camp cooks help prepare any special dietary meals.

Are there vegetarian options at camp?

If we know before arriving, we will notify the kitchen staff and ask for vegetarian options.

8:00-9:00am: Breakfast

9:00-12:00pm: Rehearsal

12:00-1:00pm: Lunch

1:00-3:00: Musical presentation or rehearsal

3:00-5:30pm: Directed Activity

5:45-6:30pm: Dinner

7:00-8:30pm: Rehearsal

8:30-11:00pm: Evening Activity

How old does my child have to be to attend camp?

Music on the River is open to all band students in grades 6 and above.

Can I visit my child while at camp?

Sure! All we ask that you let the camp director know before you come.

Is insurance provided while at camp?

If an emergency arises where a camper needs medical treatment your insurance policy will be used.

Is there a curfew at night?

There is a curfew for all campers every night.

Are the campers supervised?

All campers are supervised at ALL times while at camp.

What if my child doesn’t want to participate in an activity?

The campers have a choice to participate in the afternoon activity or go back to their cabin.
