Music On The River is a seven-day summer music camp open to music students in grades 6 and above. Set in the hills of Goochland County, Virginia, campers are greeted by stunning scenery, a friendly atmosphere, and our multi-talented staff, dedicated to inspiring a love for music. Campers can expect to be thrilled by the many outdoor activities that we have to offer, because Music on the River is just as much about having a good time as it is about experiencing music.
In its second decade as a music camp, Music on the River lasts longer and costs less per day than any other music camp in Virginia and surrounding states. Included in the camp fee is; instruction by certified professional staff, a camp t-shirt, 22 meals, 8 days and 7 nights lodging, boating, swimming, talent show, water trampoline, zip ’n dip, high ropes course, biking, disc golf, group lessons and rehearsals, and a final concert at the end of the week.
Music on the River is held in the beautiful setting, Westview on the James. Located in Goochland County, Westview on the James is a 780-acre United Methodist retreat center with an 18-acre lake, a pool, and excellent camping facilities, all near the James River.
